I have been running vista for a few weeks and finally decided to dual boot xp so i can play games without having to sacrifice a live chicken so I wont crash...

So I am adding a 300 gig ata drive that I have laying around. What do I set the jumper on the second drive to? One problem with the dp965lt intel board is that it has only 1 ata connector on board so it will share it with a dvdrw. So do I set the HD as master and the dvdr as slave and will that conflict with my SATA drive holding Vista.

When I first put this pc together I tried to install that drive as a storage drive from the get go but it wouldn't post for some odd reason and I never went back to figure it out.

I have since tested the ata drive on another system and it works fine so its not fakacta.
