Question What to upgrade and to what

Hello everyone.
I have for some time been looking for things to upgrade within my computer. The problem is that i run with two screens and can not have Netflix and League of legends running at the same time due to RAM. Might upgrade to 16gb unless you have some better idea? I was thinking about starting to stream on Twitch within the next year and problely need some upgrades in my computer. The main issue is that I do not know what to upgrade to - I dont want to invest in something like a CPU that is good enough but when I upgrade GPU the CPU cant handle it - let me know what you think ? I also want larger storage but dont know what to go for (have to be SSD).
I dont have tons and tons of money to invest but if it make sense I am willing to put some into it max cap around 1500$

I would look to upgrade the platform. If you want to stream games, you need more threads. The 2600 has 12 threads and is a good price. Your 1060 will be fine for watching netflix and playing league of legends. I would go with something like this:

I would definitely go with a Ryzen 5 if you want to start streaming. It will save you a bunch of money over the i7 9700. In all honesty the i7 is just more CPU than you need. The Ryzen will do everything you want and the extra performance of the i7 doesn't justify itself based on the price.

Now, you mentioned that you wanted a storage upgrade as well, so I'd suggest the Corsair MX500 series. The 500GB version comes in at right around $70 and the 1TB version at around $130. It comes in both M.2 form factor and the standard SATA 2.5" so you have options. If you want really fast SSD storage there is also the Intel 660p. It is an NVME option for just a little more than the Corsair. I just bought a 512 GB for my gaming laptop and I love it.

The 9700k gets about 10% better fps in games than the 2600 but it cost more than 100% more. The 2600 is a much better value. As far as an upgrade path, the 2600 platform has a better upgrade path than the 9700k because it will support the 3rd gen Ryzen CPUs.

If it were me, I would wait till July to build a system. AMD's 3rd gen Ryzen CPUs will be out and may be a nice bump in performance. If it is flat, then the 2nd gen CPUs will be priced well. Either way, it is win win.

Again, thanks a lot! So right now the best option would be to put 16gb ram and a new ssd? And then wait around to july and maybe look a round on the forum to see whats better?
