I currently have a 256GB Crucial SSD and want to reserve that for some of my other games I play more often then put my OS on the NVMe, preferably one that is reliable and quick. I feel like my current SSD is underperforming and might be the root of the issue where my PC stutters slightly. According to the UserBenchmark it is underperforming and I would like more storage anyway. Is there anything recommended I could get that is both reliable and fast at this price point or somewhere near it?

I also heard that SSD is faster with more capacity and not sure if that is true. Would it even be worth upgrading? That extra storage on the C drive would be nice.

What motherboard do you have?

The gaming difference between SATA III SSD and NVMe SSD is minimal.

That is also what I have heard but it would still be nice to have addition storage that isn't HDDs.

I currently have an MSI b450 Pro carbon ac. It is a bit of an older motherboard (Old in today's terms of maybe a few years) but I don't think it supports PCIe 4.0.

500 GB of NVMe isn't much more than 500GB of SSD is it?
