What To Upgrade?

Hey guys,

It's been a while and I'm somewhat out of the loop so I'd like some advice.

I've probably had my system for around 2-3 years now, and I feel like it's starting to get a bit weak for all the new games coming out. Problem is, during the little research I did, it didn't seem like it had much of an upgrade path other than a new video card and/or possibly RAM, unless I got a new mobo. I'm not even sure if it would be worth it or if it would just create a bottleneck.

I'm running an ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3, a Radeon HD 5850 with 1GB of GDDR5, an AMD Phenom II X6 1055T running at 3.6 GHz (could probably get higher if I tried), and 8 gigs of DDR3. I know, that's not much to go on for the RAM, but I honestly can't remember what it is and I really don't feel like finding out unless you guys think it's necessary. What I can say is that CPU-Z says it's NB is running at 2400 MHz, and the DRAM is running at 800 MHz.

During my bit of research it looked like my board couldn't run a CPU much better than what I already have, and a video card and/or RAM upgrade seemed to be the only way to squeeze some more juice out of the system without getting a new mobo.

My question is: is it worth it to upgrade, and if so, what should I be looking at? I'm looking for the best bang for my buck. I'm not completely against replacing the mobo, but I'd like to keep the upgrade cheap and simple if possible.

Thanks guys...
