I was just wondering what pieces of hardware I should upgrade next, I play DayZ a lot and would like to record some videos with at least 40fps to spair on high settings. I don't really have a budget, but I don't want to spend a tonne of money. Thanks in advance.

So current set-up is;

Gigabyte H61M-DS2 Motherboard
Intel i5 3570k CPU with stock cooler
Radeon R9 270x GPU
8GB DDR3 1333MHz unbranded RAM
500GB HDD

You should try to go for a 970 or maybe look into an r9 290 or 290x the prices have dropped significantly on those and will improve your FPS by a wide margin. That XFX 550W may suffice with a 290x and also another good upgrade would be an SSD. It wont improve your FPS, but if you stick you OS on there it will work wonders. Everything else seems solid, but I would recommend an aftermarket cooler for that 3570k so you can get some nice overclocks 😉
You should get a geforce gtx 970. It would be a good upgrade for you since it has more vram and will be compatible with directx12. i have an MSI gtx 970 and i can play all games on ultra @1080p 60+ fps

Really the only thing you should upgrade would be the GPU. Everything else looks like it has some life left. Maybe try an Nvidia card, like a GTX 970. If you prefer AMD, try going for a R9 280x if you have the power supply for it.
