Hi there,

I've been playing PUBG for a few months now and I absolutely love the game. However, my performance in the game is not too great. I've been wondering what I should upgrade to increase my performance the most. Any help would be very much appreciated! My specs are:

GA-78-LMT USB3 motherboard
GTX 960 2GB GPU
Fx-6300 Six-Core CPU
120GB Samsung EVO SSD
500GB HDD
2X4 DDR3 1600 Mhz, total 8 GB ram

Again, any help would be very much appreciated!
Thanks in advance.

Depends on your budget. I don't play PUBG, but I've read it's very CPU dependent. However your GPU is not all that strong by today's standards either, especially with only 2GB VRAM. Unfortunately upgrading both would mean getting new MB, and RAM too. I say that because by today's standards there's no CPUs worth getting for AM3+, certainly not as a future ready upgrade anyway.

The PSU you're running your 960 on might be enough to run a 1060 6GB, if it has at least 22 amps. But I would say either wait until you can get both GPU and CPU, or get the GPU for now, and the CPU, MB, and RAM later, provided your PSU is strong enough. You could also OC the CPU while you're waiting to afford the rest if you have a decent cooler, though you can...

The 1060 6GB is roughly 50% more powerful than your 960, but has 3 times the VRAM, so will effectively be quite a bit more powerful since it will let you run higher texture settings in a lot of games. 50% is my bare minimum in GPU upgrades. Anything less is kind of a waste of money.

The 1060 6GB start at $240 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1268944-REG/zotac_zt_p10600a_10l_zotac_geforce_gtx_1060.html

Total CPU, MB, RAM upgrade will be more like at least $400.
