Question What to upgrade?

Hi, looking at changing my single monitor setup to a VR headset.
I only play Assetto Corsa and would like to play on high settings. I don’t need to be future proofed as I don’t see the drifting scene changing games within the next 2 years. I would rather the cheaper option.
What is the minimum I would get away with (1070?)

Computer specs are:
MSI Z97M Gaming Motherboard
Intel Core i7-4790k
AMD Radeon R9 380

And a 550w PSU that I will upgrade as its making noises
Would like to upgrade HD as it’s only 1tb, should I replace with 2tb or add another?

Upgrade GPU and buy a 2Tb SSD.

And a decent brand power supply, link any potential purchases here and people here will tell you if any good.

I chose a Galax RTX 2060 Super 1 Click 8gb and a Corsair 650w PSU
Forgot to ask if my 2x 8gb G skill ddr3 sniper rams will be enough for it before ordering?
Also wondering how long it will be till I have to upgrade my CPU or whole computer
