What type of adapter is the best?

Hello ! First of all sorry if it's offtopic it's my first time posting (please be kind with me 😀 ). Ok so I have a 1440x900p monitor with a VGA input.My GPU (RX 480) doesn't have VGA output only DVI , HDMI and DisplayPort. Can somebody tell me what's the best adapter for me and why? The DVI-VGA one or the HDMI-VGA one?

Makes no odds , its an identical digital signal apart from HDMI carrying audio aswell (which will not pass through an adapter)

You need to be sure its an active adapter you buy is all important though.

One thing to watch out for is the type of DVI it is. There is DVI-I and DVI-D. There is a slight physical difference between the two, making one incompatible with the other, i.e. won't fit.
