I'm sort of confused by this, I'd appreciate some help. I have a GTX 680 with the following ports: One Dual Link DVI-I, One Dual Link DVI-D, One HDMI, One DisplayPort. My main monitor is hooked up using HDMI, and I just got another monitor that's VGA only. If I understand correctly, VGA to DVI D won't work because DVI D is all digital and VGA is analog.

I can't find anything about whether or not this adapter is dual link or not.

I remember having an old LG monitor that had VGA only and I connected it with exactly an adapter like this except that it was DVI-A. But you should be fine with this adapter according to the photo it's DVI-I, just like you wanted.
