What type of hdd is this?

Hi,

I want to use this hdd on my desktop for backup but i dont what the heck it is! I got it off a 2005 laptop that doesnt work it anymore. What type of hdd is this? What adaptor do i need to buy so i can connect it my desktop and use it as a second hdd so i can backup my stuff?

Hard to tell from the picture unless one has seen that model before (and I haven't)

Conceivably, the connector you show is actually an adapter and if it can be removed you may find a standard connector behind it.

Thanks for the help! That was an adapter and alll i had to do is take it off and now its looks like its a normal sata hard drive! Thanks !
