What type of old hard drive is this?

I have an old laptop hard drive that I need to extract old files from and bought an ide external drive bay however that doesn’t fit at despite the drive saying ata/ide. I took some pics below https://imgur.com/a/fbJDl7m

Any ideas? Thanks to anyone who can help!

You need to pull off the connector at the end of the drive. It's there to make it easier to slide the drive into a laptop without bending pins, but every laptop manufacturer used a different one. Underneath that it's a regular 44-pin ATA

I can never remember the name of it but it's called an interposer.
