I recently purchased a Lenovo monitor from Newegg and I found 2 USB "ports" on the side of the monitor, which obviously don't fit into any of my USB A devices (mouse, keyboard, flash drives, etc). I would assume that they are USB ports, as they have they USB logo on them. I was wondering what type of USB ports (if they even are USB ports) were and what devices could use them. These USB ports are longer and thinner than their USB A counterparts. If you are wondering what they looked like, I took some pictures of my monitor and my USB ports on them.

these are standard usb 2.0 ports. like many other monitors yours has a usb hub ending up with the two ports on the side. in order for them to work you need to connect mobo back i/o with the usb in (tybe b input)

It would seem that they are not., as I said before, these do not fit into my USB A ports and are longer and thinner. I already have a USB-B plugged in, as I use a USB-A port and my built in webcam on that monitor.
