Question What ultrawide 34" monitor?

hi,

I want to upgrade my monitor. I want to replace my DELL U2414H with an ultrawide monitor.

I use the monitor mainly for work. Sometimes I do photo editing or play games, but more than 90% of my time is dedicated to work.

I found these 34 "monitors:

• Philips 345E2AE (IPS)
• LG 34WN750 (IPS)
• Samsung S34J552 (VA)

All of them have a resolution of 3440x1440.

I use the monitor with some laptops (an Intel i5 ultrabook and Macbook Air M1) and with my desktop (which also needs to be updated).

The most expensive is the LG while the cheapest is the Samsung.


What do you recommend?

What is your budget?

What monitors are available in your area either through direct store purchase or being able to order for delivery within what you deem as an acceptable time frame?

Just in case you need to return the monitor. Check for return policies and associated costs.

Take a look at available reviews. For example:

You can find (Google) for similar reviews.

Also go to each manufacturer's website to read the applicable monitor User Guides/Manuals. Check site FAQs and Forums (if any).

Pay attention to all fine print, caveats, and warnings.

Read carefully for both what is said and what is not said.

I don't recommend to buy LG because of IPS persistence artifacts in dark on black is killing me. Also try to find some curved model, because this ultrawide aspect will annoy you
