I am spending a lot of time waiting on my pdf markup and review software to redraw the document I'm working on. I'm adding dimensions and comments to architectural drawings. The files are pretty big and complex. I'm running an i5 6600 with a 1070 on a 4K screen. I'm thinking the CPU is the issue, but I'm not sure. What is my best upgrade option to speed up the redraws? Software is Bluebeam Revu

Update - additional info
16GB ram
1TB SSD

The last file I was working on was only 558KB, so I dont think memory is the issue

Solution
you should list your systems full specs, for what i see both your cpu and gpu should be more than enough for the software you plan on running, since we dont know much about your system its hard to point out what could be the best upgrade for a better experience.

It could be that the HDD is a bit slow in case you dont have an ssd or that you need more and faster ram for the big size documents.

Reading the specs for Bluebeam Revu it seems to run on minimal hardware.

The one thing which I might suspect is a lack of ram when you are working with large documents.

One thing to check is to open task manager and look at the resources used while you doing the redraw process.

Post all of your specs, particularly ram.
