Looking at getting a new UPS unit for my computer. It's doesn't like the new battery. It's saved my computer from some brown and blackouts. I will miss it. Now that I think about it, I don't know how to buy one of these things. When I bought it, it was the biggest thing on the shelf and I said I'll take it.
Here are my specs.
CPU: Intel i7 8770k
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix Z370-H
Ram: G Skill Ripjaws V 32gb
SSD: WD 3D Nnad 250gb
SSD: WD 3D Nand 1tb
GPU: AMD Sapphire Vega64 8gb
PSU: EVGA 850 G 850w
UPS: APC BackUPS NS 1080 650w

Thanks Much -Rexer

You would need to find an UPS that has a rated power output of 85W or more, to match your PSU's wattage. Thinking back, even if your UPS has lower power output than your existing PSU, you should still be able to shut down the system with a few minutes of backup time. have you though about replacing the battery in the UPS? That's the first thing that tends to go out in an UPS.

Replaced the Battery? Yep. the UPS failed so purchase a battery.. And the new battery never recharged. It came charged when I bought it, The LED read out on UPS said it was very low even after hours of charge. So I did a test by draining the power with a few analog tech stuff (lamp and old radio) and never charged up after.
Figured the unit's system inside failed so I started looking in to a new UPS. But judging from what you're saying, I needed a new one 4 years ago. And I think you're right. The maximum power draw of an APC NS 1080 is 200w less than the 850w psu.
Purchase it 2016 to protect my old Dell computer. When I built the 8770k, I never looked into replacing the UPS. Until now.
Thanks for the input.
