[SOLVED] What usb to plug into?

Hey, i have a quest 2 with the oculus vr link (usb type c on both ends) and im curious where to plug it into? I have an aorus master z390 and an rtx 2080 super from MSI. The rtx has a var link port but i read somewhere NOT to use it? But when i plug it into my motherboard it sometimes registered as usb 2.0 until i turned it around and performance has felt a bit sluggish with bad fps and stutter at times. Would love some help as im clueless

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Include PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition.

Use Task Manager or Resource Monitor to observe system performance (use both but just one at a time.)

Observe system performance before using vr and then again while using the vr.

Determine what changes: resources, how much any given resource is being used (%), and what is using the resource.
