What uses more power? A Laptop Hard Drive or a Display Screen?

Just trying to figure out what is the best to power down to save energy on an idling computer--i send the computer to sleep in steps.

Hard drives use very little power, figure about 10 watts maximum. I've got a 22 inch lcd monitor that uses about 35 watts.
