What uses more power?

just a quick question guys which GPU uses more power the gtx 260 or hd 5850?

The 5850 at idle uses less power. But on load I think the two are pretty close.

Well Steve-O, can I recommend what we do is connect a computer, putting each individual card in one at a time, then we have you stick your tongue in the wall socket and tell us which one hurts the most. The one that hurts the most uses the most power.

But really, the HD 5850 uses less power in all scenarios and provides better performance.
