All,

Just finished up my last lot of varnish and it's time for a rethink.

I like a matt finish to my figures, but I used to gloss first (as it's
harder wearing) andt then matt on top.

So, what are you using andis it good?

Cheers,

Mike

I'd be wiling to bet you'd get much more response to this in
rec.games.miniatures.historical (this isn't exactly the wrong place to
post it, but this group is a general group for all kinds of wargames,
not just miniatures)..

Is this Scott Orr from the old (80s) National Wargaming Alliance /
American Wargaming Association / Strategy Gaming Society? Or am
I just hallucinating? If it is, hi from Steven Davies-Morris.

I _think_ you're just hallucinating, but I'm getting old enough to
have forgotten a lot of things. Did this Scott Orr live in Atlanta?

The best varnish I have found is Humbrol Gloss Cote and Matt Cote. I use the
gloss then matt approach and these are the best varnishes i have come
across. Its a pity that Humbrol don;t do a spray version though
