I want to find out want video card I have.. but I am having some issues. On the HP reference site it says there's an ATI Radeon HD 4200 with VGA and DVI installed in my model, but that cant be it because mine has DVI and HDMI. So I open device manager and checked under Display Adapters and it said ATI Radeon HD 5450, but according to their website (http://www.amd.com/en-us/products/graphics/desktop/5000/5450) it says it has a HDMI, VGA, and DVI and this website (http://graphics-cards.findthebest.com/l/64/ATI-Radeon-HD-5450) it states the max digital res. is 2560 x 1600 which that doesnt match up with what my computer's max res is which is 1280 x 1024. Can anyone please help find what video card model I have?

I would guess you have a HD 5450, probably made by a board partner so it has different ports to the stock HD 5450. Try GPU-Z to find exactly which card you have.

Your max res is probably limited by your screen. I'm guessing you have a 1080p screen meaning it only has 1280 x 1024 pixels. You would have to plug in a screen with 2560 x 1600 pixels to get that resolution.

Update: To clarify, your GPU will not let you select a higher resolution than the screen it is connected to, so you need to plug in a higher res screen to even unlock to option.

I assume you have one of those small slim HP models. If so, then you just have a 5450 with a low profile bracket, which only allows access to the digital connections and not the legacy VGA connector. The same can be done to retail 5450s which come with swappable low-profile brackets and a detachable analog input connector; here is an example of such a card. The 2560x1600 max resolution reported is the highest resolution that the DVI connector can push, not what resolution you are currently using.
