What water cooling kit?

Hi everybody! I am building a new computer and no I do not need help picking out core parts, I have already done that. I am planning on doing my first water cooling rig and I want to buy a water cooling kit. So this is where I am stuck at. I want a water cooling system that will be quiet (at idle and load) and that will be at room temp when at idle and no more the 40°c when at load (this is targeted not reality). They both need to be expandable so I can eventually add a GPU cooler.

I am looking at these two systems:

Thermaltake Bigwater 745 Liquid System
or
GIGABYTE GH-WIU02 3D Galaxy II Liquid Cooling

I have no idea which one is better then the other. I am looking forward to your input!

Have fun with your fancy-arse computer, I assume by beastie you mean the X2800XTX. Well you might want to watercool that card, as it is supposed to run quite hot.

Talk to Chuckshissle, hes got dual Kingwin watercooling systems in his rig.

Fret no more of what is water cooling kit is better then what, since i know everyone here has been losing sleep over it, but I have decided that for me it is more efficient and cheaper to go with a air cooling system. I will be buying a Tuniq Tower 120 unless I am convinced otherwise.

They haven't mentioned anything for a X2900 series Waterblock, so don't be so eager to find one once the actual card hits the market. If I had to pick between the 2, I'd choose the Galaxy. The Bigwater is overall terrible, and if you consider overclocking your processor with the bigwater, don't expect good results, nor temps.


I am also with billdcat4 on the Danger Den watercooling. Top quality stuff you can get, and better than the Gigabyte Galaxy. My second computer houses a Danger Den watercooling system, and the results have only been fantastic.
