Question What wattage can this stock HP PRODESK 400 G5 MT i5-8500 handle?

Hello,
It doesn't take long for me to get out of touch with all this specs stuff, age doesn't help either .

How much can this HP PRODESK 400 G5 MT i5-8500 with its 180w Power Supply handle?
The one that I am getting will not have any drives installed when I pick it up.
I see what I think are three SATA outlets on the MB for hard drives. So I assume it can only have 3 drives.
What about the power plugs coming off the motherboard for the drives, two are larger and one looks smaller. So I assume that there are only 3.
I would like to install two 3.5" drives for storage in the upper tray and have an SSD for the OS.
What would be the best way to set this up?

You're asking how many hard drives you can power inside this?

There are 3 SATA ports on the mobo, so 3. 2 of which can apparently be 3.5" but the 3rd drive can only be 2.5".

Cant I put an SSD in one of those small PCI slots on the motherboard? And Install the OS on that? I'm sort of out of the loop these days on all this stuff, so not exactly sure what you call that kind of SSD, M.2 or something?

This PC seems to be an odd form factor and only has an 180w PS. Looks like it has room for a full sized card I would assume maybe a graphics card(which I won't need)

Your SATA power looks like its being feed from the motherboard. You have 2 regular SATA power connections and 1 mini sata connector meant for DVD.

So 2 hard drives by the looks from Video.

just an idea. But NVMe needs to be supported by the motherboard/BIOS and the Operating System

Could I just remove the DVD and install an SSD in its place using the power adapter going to it? I won't be using a DVD at all.
Which is mounted under the 3.5" drive in the video above? I'm not familiar with the power plug that goes to the DVD drive, I guess you are calling it a Mini SATA. Can SSD drives accept this type of power plug?

The OS will be Windows 10 Pro. I'm not sure about the BIOS yet. I'll look over the links you provided.

Thank you. I did not know such a PCI card exsisted. Would this be faster than a typical SSD that would plug into one of those 3 SATA ports?

And again could I also pull the DVD player and put an SSD in it place using the smaller power plug?

Not really, you could get a SATA add on "Y" cord splitter but your power supply is only 180 watts.

I totally missed it in that video I posted above(4minute mark) because I'm so out of touch with all this newer tech. But if I'm not mistaken, I can see an M.2 slot on the mother board above the three SATA ports. That's what I'll put the OS on.
