I've checked multiple PSU calculators with different results and would appreciate some other opinions.
I would like to over clock as much as I can, and would like some breathing room for efficiency and expansion of externals, hdds etc.
extreme power supply calc. said my estimated usage would be around 600w if I am overclocking to 4.5 ghz and using an extra pcie x16 and should get a 750w power supply. In that case I was thinking I would go for the Seasonic m12ii evo 750 bronze, does that sound like a good choice? Is the psu calculator correct, or could I pass with a 650w psu and still be efficient?
Specs of build:
mobo gigabyte 990fxa ud3 rev. 4.1
cpu - amd fx 6300
gpu - asus strix gtx 960
ram - 8 GB DDR3 / 1866 G.SKILL SNIPER
HD - 1 tb WD +
ssd - Kingston sdnow 120gb
cooler - noctua nd14 or coolermaster hyper 212 evo / x
case fans - 4x120mm
externals - 1 external hard drive, mouse, keyboard
optical - dvd rw
Thanks in advance!
