I was thinking 850w would be fine, but should I go bigger and get a 1000w power supply? I searched google for what people said about how much watts each component would consume. It's my first build so I'm not sure if there is anything else to finding out how much watts to get besides just adding up all the wattage consumed.

My build:
Cpu: i5 4690k 102w
Motherboard: msi z97 gaming 5 51w
HDD: WD 1tb caviar black 15w
Cpu cooler: zalman cnps9500a 115w
Gpu: msi 960 85w
Memory: corsair vengeance blue 8gb 1600mhz 192w

Solution
i5 4690k 88w / gtx 960 120w these two components alone deterime the psu you will need! the rest doesnt really matter. nvidia suggests 400w however considering any o/c that can be atempted and in order to maintain a safe headroom you really dont need anything more that 550w. 650w will be plenty for SLI.
