Hello have an Advent Centurion CPQ 9104 and plan to upgrade with the following:

ASUS M5A78L-M LX V2 AMD (SOCKET AM3+) MOTHERBOARD

AMD FX4100 Quad-Core 3.6GHz 12MB Cache

Samsung 4GB (1x4GB) DDR3 1333MHz

ASUS NVIDIA Geforce GT 640 PCI-E Graphics Card - 2 GB

I plan to keep the 640GB SATA 7200rpm and the Wi-Fi: 802.11 b/g WLAN as well as the DVD RW that the CPQ9104 has.

I was initially looking at this PSU http://www.scan.co.uk/products/750w-ace-psuace750br-black-with-red-12cm-fan-atx-v23-psu

Would this be ok? Or who I need a different brand/ more wattage?

Good quality is key. The GT640 draws very little power and you're system would actually run well on a 350-400W PSU like the Antec Earthwatts 380W (EA-380D). The XFX Core 450W is more PSU than you actually need, but allows you some headroom for upgrading the GPU in the future....it will support any single PCIe power connector GPU. For modern GPUs, that is up to an HD7850/6850 or a GTX550ti.
