I'm building a desktop for watching movies, listening to music, web browsing, Minecraft, and a little bit of web/photo design. So far I have these components and would to know what wattage power supply I should get.

Motherboard - Asus A55BM-Plus
CPU - AMD x4 760k
RAM - whatever I can find cheap
HHD - 2 1tb
SSD - 1 8gb
Optical Drive - 2 dvd/combo
Video - Radeon HD 7770

Any specific models you can suggest? I'd like to get a 500w for about $50 or under if possible (not trying to be cheap, I'm just in high school and have no job and other hobbies)

your gpu requires an additional 6pin pcie power cable so i would suggest at least a 450w
care fot this one though, as it is rather cheap but a decent unit than can easily run your specs!

400 to 500 watts. Get something good (from SeaSonic, Corsair, XFX, or Antec) and you won't have any worries. Yes, it will cost more, but ask yourself this: Is it worth runing the risk of having a cheap power supply ruining something in your system, or spending a little extra money now?
