What were your first time build mistakes?

Hey guys!
I just finished my first PC, and I was curious how everyone else did on their first build.
Preferably amusing/funny ones please.
To get this thread started, here are the few mistakes I made: I forgot to take the protective covers off of the video outputs on my motherboard and bent my IO sheild in the process. I also plugged my HDD light in the wrong way around.

sorry. cant help you there. when upgrading from my 2005 to 2010 build i was a bit suprised by needing so many motherboard power connectors and almost forgot to plug one in however thats not really an issue.

I dunno, I'm just surprised I made as little as I did...

well there is also a whole lot more information available nowdays so it shouldnt really be an issue.

as long as someone looks up things they dont know and doesnt go in blindly making decisions without knowing i doubt there will be a whole lot of mistakes made.

most components are also idiot proof in that they are certain colors and shapes and only work one way.
