What will happen if I install 1866MHz RAM into a motherboard that only supports 1600MHZ RAM?

I am busy building my first PC and my motherboard is the Asus B85m-Gamer, and it only supports 1600MHz RAM. What will happen if I install memory with a speed of 1866MHz? Thanks

best case will work on 1866, worst case on 1600

RAM contains timings for multiple (lower) frequencies than its top rated speed. It will run fine. The board might even let you run it at 1866.
