What will happen if I keep a "hotwire" wired

What will happen if I keep the two metal things that I touch on my motherboard to start up the psu wired like with a metal wire so whenever I plug the psu in the jack it automatically starts?Will it burn the anything?

It would just cycle on and off and never BOOT all the way. That's why Start switches are momentary push button.
