What will happen wo my laptop?

Well my laptop has a 64 bit processor but my os is 32 bit, is there anything significant that will happen to my laptop if this happens?

32 bit os are used when there 4g or less of ram. with more then 4g of ram you need a 64 bit os.

but it will still works, but it will only use a little more than 3 gb of ram, wasting the rest.
