Question What will i have to replace to upgrade to a i7 9700k

Currently I have a
Motherboard - H97 Anniversary
Power supply - Antec 570
memory - 16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz (9-9-9-24)
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB (MSI

these are my specs, as i understood my current motherboard is not compatible with the i7-9700k. If anyone could suggest the changes i would need to make, what needs to be replaced that would be great. I wasnt even sure if my ram would still be able to carry-over. thanks!

You'll need to replace the motherboard (Z390 or Z370 with updated BIOS) and memory (DDR4).

Why specifically that CPU? What is the system not running now? Your video card is not really good enough to keep up with a high end i7 unless you have something really low end now.

yeah i was planning on upgrading at the same time to a 2080 or so

Depends on the case but high end air or a good quality 240/280 AIO would work well.
