What will the price of the 1080 Ti be?

If it IS actually called the 1080 Ti that is... Anyway, I picked up a 980 Ti about 2 months ago, and I'm wondering if the 1080 Ti will have similar pricing to the 980 Ti from its release date.

I imagine it will be similar to the 980Ti when it released, the 980Ti has come down in price since launch so I do expect prices to be higher than the current 980Ti price. My other prediction is we won't see a 1080Ti until 2017. If Nvidia follow their recent pattern the Ti flagship won't release until nearly a year after the rest of the range. That is what happened with the 780Ti & 980Ti

Personally i'm thinking GTX1800 will be the flagship for 2016 and the ti version will come out in 2017. Price wise i'm actually expecting 650 to 700 for reference model. But if both amd and nvidia want to play premium game the price could end up higher than it was in the past. And before amd release Fury X we do heard that AMD initially want to price Fury X around 800 or so. They priced Fury X at 650 instead of undercutting 980Ti suggest the rumor might have some truth.

Depends on how well the 980 Ti sold. If many people bought this overpriced thing, the next one will for sure be even more expensive. If not enough people bought it, it will be cheaper.

People will have to buy them if they have no choice. Back in 2010/2011. 580 wasn't significantly faster than 6970 but some people still buy $500 580 vs $390 6970 just because the former is the fastest single gpu. With kepler generation nvidia increase their flagship gpu price from $500 to $650-$700 range. We really hope comoetition can drive the price down but it seems AMD keep increasing the price of their flagship gpu. Imagine AMD fastest single gpu used to cost 390. Now they are 650; on par with nvidia pricing.
