I have the Arris TG862 modem and I am planning to build a pc, but I have no chance of getting a ethernet, cable to the computer so I need to get a wireless adaptor. I would love something that can handle some pc gaming and something that is cheap but reliable is preferred.
I am not sure of any of the specifications on my modem, all I know is the speeds and ping from online tests, 32 ping, 65 Download, 12 upload, i'm not sure if that helps but if anyone has any ideas on a cheap and reliable wireless adaptor, I would love to hear them.
Also I would prefer a PCI one not USB.
I was looking at this one, but I am not sure if my modem is N300.

If your going to be gaming a lot, I'd really recommend looking at powerline adapters. They're more expensive than wireless but they greatly outperform wireless, provided you have decent wiring in your home.
I'd look at

As for wireless, without knowing which router you have, I can't say the best product since there are so many different speed routers out there. Since you're going with a 300Mb model, I'd look at these.

or

I dont have any ethernet wiring in my house, the only solution for me to to get a wireless adapter, It may not be ethernet cable speed, but since my xbox and mac run wireless and I have no problem I can deal with spotty connection once in a while.

The powerline adapters don't use ethernet in your house, they use the electrical wiring. You plug an adapter in to a wall electrical socket near the router and connect it to the router an via ethernet cord, then you plug the other adapter in to a wall electrical socket near you computer and connect it to your computer via ethernet cord. Super simple, and doesn't even require any setup. It gives far better speeds and consistency than wifi. Only downside is the cost.

But if thats not your cup of tea, the link William Henrickson posted is a good one. Unfortunately I couldn't find that model in the N series in stock anywhere or I'd have linked that. If your router is an AC model, that model will give you a good connection. If your router is a N series router, it'll still work but the speeds will be limited to the routers speed not the cards rated speed.

Will that card work with a N300 router?

Yep, AC is backwards compatible with N series. You shouldn't have any problems getting it to work with your router.
