So i heard that a fully specced mac pro is around 60k$
Now obviously apple is taking a giant “coolness” tax, but id like to know what an actual comparison would,be like.

can you guys help?
What kind of similar hardware could you cram into a hackintosh with a 60k$ budget?

does the custom mac pro gpu setup beat multi gpu nvidia stuff?

Oh nice. I'll check it out.
Keep in mind that I haven't watched the video yet, but I specced out a full gpu build on the apple site, and compared it to a pc equivalent.
Surprisingly the mac pro is actually a really good value. Not if you're getting the base version. But if you want the maximum gpu/cpu performance then it comes out to around 20k.
That's four 32gb pro gpu's (around 2080/2080ti perfomance each I think) 92gb ram, 16gb xeon w, 2tb ssd. And you get the incredible mac design case design and brand name.

The only way to compare that with a pc is to use quadros which puts you at the 20k limit just for the four gpu's.

BTW i'm a pc guy, never owned a mac in my life, but I gotta admit that is impressive.
