for entry level:

amd athlon 860K,

intel core i3 4150/4160

midrange:

amd fx 8320 fx 8350,

intel core i5 4460, 4590

upper midrange to high end:

intel core i5 4690K,

intel core i7 4790K, xeon e3 1230/31/71 v3

it mainly depends on how much money you got to spend on the cpu (and other parts).
