What would be a good upgrade from my 750ti

Soon im going to be looking for a gpu upgrade from my 750ti and im wondering what card will show a significant improvement and isn't ridiculously expensive?
Currently looking at a MSI 970

the best upgrade for you would be a gtx 960 for 200$ because that is pretty cheap for a good GPU but the gtx 970 is also good if u want to spend an extra 100$ it is better and cheaper then most graphics cards, but once you go above the 960 prices go up by 100's alot of times
