What would be a reasonable price to sell this PC for?

Solution

Not a bad suggestion. The three of us who have commented so far have given it the same evaluation. $300 really seems about right, but given how old it is, you don't have a lot of risk setting the price a bit higher and letting it sit a few weeks, then lowering the price as needed. So do what he said if you are selling online, put it up for $375. Then drop the price $50 every two or three weeks until you hit the bottom amount you are willing to sell it for. I'm sure someone on a tight budget would love to buy it for somewhere in that $275-$375 range, you just got to hope the right person comes along.

Another idea you could try if it doesn't go well, you might try to sell the...
True, those parts are pretty old. Haven't seen a 9800gt in a long time. $275, $300 tops. You can list it for whatever you like, whether someone buys it for a good price or not it will boil down to what people are willing to pay for it. It may not be a great value at $350 and someone may buy it or it might not sell for $250. Just depends.

Another idea you could try if it doesn't go well, you might try to sell the system for $200-$275 without the GPU, then sell the GPU separate. The GPU isn't worth much, but again someone on a budget might pick up the rest of the parts, toss in a faster $80 GPU and have a reasonably fast budget gaming system. The CPU still has a decent amount of life in it, just the GPU is really past its prime.
