You may need a bios update, but probably not.

Yeah but considering that a B350 motherboard is a first gen Ryzen board, you would have to update the BIOS in order to run 2nd and 3rd gen Ryzens on it. You would most likely have to do that loaner CPU program from AMD in order to get that configuration to work properly.
