Question What would be more likely to work? Adding vram to a card or swapping the gpu itself into another card that already has the vram you want?

Well the I have 2 graphics card in mind a Nvidia Geforce 1650 4gb gddr6 and a Nvidia T1000 8gb gddr6.

Both Cards according to tech power up share the same BGA Package. Would it be possible to transplant the GTX 1650 gpu into the t1000 and have it work? Again they share the same physical BGA Package.

How likely would i be to have the bios on the card see the new gpu and actually work?

The Other way to do it would be to solder the vram chips from the T1000 or some other donor card that has the same vram chip vendor to the GTX 1650 and then modify the bios to see it. Which i think would be more difficult

I have a friend that does BGA Rework and the BGA stencil is get able for the gpus.

I don't have anyone who could mod the bios though, i would have to figure that out. Would both require bios modification?

Neither of those are a valid way forward.
Yeah i will have to just get a different card. But figured i should look into it a little first.

Trying to make the most of what little space i have. In my Playstation 2 PC Build

A modified yeston gtx 1650 4gb gddr6 would be perfect however it doesn't exist

The best i can do would be either a Yeston 3050 6gb or

Possibly a RTX A2000 6 or 12 gig or maybe that ADA newer version of the RTX A2000 16gb, That card is 170mm long though, they sell a modified heatsink and fan for it, to make it single slot.

Is the RTX A2000 made for gaming or is it a workstation card like the T1000?
