[SOLVED] What would be the benefits to using crossfire with a RX580?

This is the card I have now, I want an 5700xt but I could save $200ish and just get another RX580 the problem is I know nothing about cross fire. Would this increase my PC's power and would it be able to run games like seige, Minecraft (heavy modded), CoD, Battlefield, Etc in 1440p?

It depends if those games support Crossfire and even if they do it's not usually a 100% performance increase. Plus you'd need to make sure your motherboard & PSU can support it.

Honestly, your probably going to run into more problems then better performance.

The pros of SLI/Crossfire involving two midrange GPUs in 2019 are:

1. Two GPUs looks cool in the case.

Dual GPU gaming is dead.

Advantages:
Dual gpu will win you synthetic fps benchmarks.
Some games will perform better.

On the downside:
do you have a decent quality 800w psu to run dual RX580

You will be prone to screen tearing and stuttering.
Some games do not support dual gpu and will perform worse.

Dont do it. just dont the performance increase is there in some games. but most dont support it at all and you need a good psu and there are certain instabilities with dual gpu.
