I'm an building a mid-level PC, around $1500 budget. By good price I mean that it isn't over priced. Like maybe around 70-120 for a 550w gold.

What other components are you considering? No harm in listing out the components.

Someone may spot a potential issue or be able to recommend an applicable change.

With that budget range then at least increase the wattage - 750 watts. May seem overkill but leaves room for future component growth.

Gold is good but research any specific PSU of interest to you. Read reviews, PSU User Guides/Manuals, and visit the manufacturer's websites to read FAQs and Forums therein.

Pay attention to what is said as well as what is not said. Fine print and details matter.

You can simply select a PSU from the Tom's list but if unsure about making a choice you should, by that time, be able to raise specific concerns or questions about the candidate PSUs in mind to purchase.
