What would be the cheapest (yet reliable) motherboard for this build?

Hi, i am having a hard time understanding the difference between the features i need and the one that are going to be useless for my build, i am on a very tight budget and if a cheaper MOBO than the one i am contemplating atm is available it would be great.

So i plan on fitting:

CPU: i5 4690
GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 290 Dual-X OC (UEFI) - 4 Go
SSD: SSD Samsung Serie 850 EVO - 250 Go
RAM: Corsair VENGEANCE 2 x 4 Go DDR3 1600 MHz CAS 9 (i might want to add 2 more, so a 4 ram slot card wouldn't be seen as a waste for me)
PSU: Antec VPF 650 EC - 650W (not sure if usefull for choosing a MOBO)
I will have 5 fan into my case.

I don't plan on overclocking so i believe a H97 would be enough, right now i am contemplating the MSI H97 GAMING 3.

Is it indeed the best value, or can i get a cheaper one and still fit this build?

Thank you very much in advance for your answers.

A good value for money motherboard to go with your cpu is the Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard. the GIGABYTE GA-Z97-HD3 (rev. 2.0) LGA 1150 is also a good choice. Both Asus and gigabyte make good quality boards. The gigabyte mobo recommended is the same price and I would personally go for that. It has good scope for expansion and overclocking I can't recommend you anything cheaper :p

I've read really bad review on PC Mate being poor quality, is it true or just unlucky customers?

I am looking at the Gigabyte GA-Z97P-D3 for the same price than the one you recommand, do you think it will do the trick or should i better go with MSI PC Mate?

Thank you.

Oh i didn't saw that you said "GIGABYTE GA-Z97-HD3 (rev. 2.0)".

What is the difference between the D3 and HD3 (beside 89,90 € vs 119,90€ ^^)

edit: oh, just noticed there is a "P" of difference between the two aswell...i am so lost ^^

edit²: oh and now i see that D3H and HD3 aren't actually the same thing oO

You can check out the specifics of the differences here: http://www.pc-specs.com/mobo/comparison-versus/2746/2727/gigabyte-ga-z97-hd3-rev-1-0-vs-gigabyte-ga-z97p-d3-rev-1-0

Oh alright thank you very much, well since it seems that the most notable difference between the two aside from price is the capability to fit 2 GPU or not and that i don't plan on using more than 1 GPU, i think i'll just go with the P-D3; unless there is strong objection regarding it's durability this seems like the better bet for me. I hope i didn't miss something.

Thanks again, have a good night ;)
