Question What would cause this? Is this my graphics card or something else?

Starting today I see artifacts when scrolling up and down in my web browser. The odd thing is I captured my desktop screen as a video file with a chrome extension and the artifacts are there but different colors and less of it than the recording I have from my iPhone camera. Does anyone know what is going on?

Internal screen recording.

Does this only happen in discord as shown in the recordings?

Oddly enough it also happens in Facebook with the messages section scroll bar but doesn't happen with the scrollbar in the Facebook Timeline.

My understanding was if the artifacts were different or appeared in a physical screen capture recording it couldn't be the graphics card because the graphics card doesn't get captured. Is that not correct?

this is incorrect, the graphics card would draw the screen, then would send it to the display… to be displayed.

if there are any errors in drawing it would appear in a physical screen capture recording.

what is your system specs? Are you overclocked?

It is not overclocked. I did add new ram two days ago though but not sure how that would cause this issue. I used to have 16GB of ram before I installed the new Ram. All the ram sticks are by the same brand.
