I have 12 GB of RAM in my system, 'Corsair Vengeance 4 x 4 GB Memory 1600 MHz DDR3 -- 3 sticks overclocked

I have a Corsair 4 GB 1333MHz.

My question is if i add the 4GB 1333MHz stick in the motherboard with the 12GB of ram will it slow down my system since these ram sticks run as diffrent speeds? Or will the Corsair Vengeance countune to run at 1600 MHz? and the 4GB will run at 1333MHz? Or will the system down grade the 12 GBs speed to bring it inline with the 4 GB RAM?

What will happen?

OK jamie6737,

I would start the RAM @ stock speed, insert all in and run memtest or windows diagnostics.
If all is good, than OC to 1600 and see whats up : )
