What would happen if power went out during a regular system restore

Just out of curiosity whay would happen if your pc unexpectedly shut off during a system restore not a factory restore just a simple system restore?

Usually, you just end up having to run the restore again. Sometimes it won't boot. Then you have to try and repair it through recovery options. Worst case is you have to reinstall Windows. I've never seen it so bad it can't be repaired. Whether it can be repaired or not comes down to, in large part, whom is doing the repair.
