What would I gain in performance if I upgraded from a socket 478 p4 2 66ghz 533f

would the performance be noticeable if I upgraded from a socket478 p4 2.66 ghz. cpu w/533fsb to a p4 3.2 ghz cpu 1mb 800fsb

Does your board support the new 800 fsb cpu? You won't know unless you check the "cpu support" section first. If your motherboard chipset is either the Intel 865 or 875, then it will probably run. Starmicro has the 3.2 at a reasonable price, and you will notice a substanstial improvement. But I wouldn't spend over $20 for the upgrade.
