What would performance hit be going from 1080p to 2560x1400p?

So I'm looking at getting a 144hz 2k monitor and I'm wondering how much of a performance decrease I would get generally.


Specs:
MSI GTX 1070
i7 8700k
Corsair Vengence 16gb 2400mhz
Samsung 960 evo
MSI Z370 Gaming Pro Carbon

Also as a side question if anyone has any input is 32" for 2k too big? I sit sorta close also so was wondering.

It is 1.77x as many pixels, so your framerate will be 1/1.77x as much.
