Hi folks,
I need some help deciding on one last GPU upgrade for my gaming PC. It is from a much older generation so I do not want to overspend needlessly only to run into a bottlenek. I know that buying the latest GPU would 'futureproof' my options to a certain extent, but I would rather save where I can towards buying a whole new platform in the future.
Specs
Intel i5 4690k
16 GB DDR3
Gefore GTX 770 2Gb
Coolermaster 750W power supply
Gigabyte Gaming 3
Windows 10 Home ed.
Budget: ... not too fussed
I am just looking for a little extra performance at 1080p. Would a GTX 1070 be too much? Would a 980 not be worth it? What would be a newer card that would work well with this system without being too much of an overkill? Advice please!
