What would you upgrade and why?

The only problem I have is when I would upgrade my i5-7600k to the i7-8700k, I would also have to buy a new Motherboard

In order to overclock your 7600K you need a z270 chipset motherboard.
You are leaving some 30% cpu performance on the table.

That said, if you want even more cpu performance wait a bit for the new gen i5-9600K processors and an overclockable chipset motherboard.

Yes this may be true however most people that do it probably shouldn’t be doing it and probably don’t do it correctly. The amount of time it takes to get the perfect set up takes time and diligence and I think everybody’s looking for free performance and many of them end up burning up their systems

I build a system and use it for 10 years and when it dies I junk parts and build it again. I don’t have any of the issues that 99% of the people here have
