Hi All,

As some of you may know, I program Chrome browser extensions (also compatible with Edge and Opera GX). I currently have one called "Bye, Bye Google AI" which has 37K users and blocks Google AI overview results from the SERP.

Anyway, I was thinking about making a free Tom's Hardware Chrome extension designed to help frequent readers and forum posters find and enjoy our content and forum posts more easily. I have some ideas for features. Would you use such an extension if I made it? What would you want from it.

My proposed features so far:

* Search Tom's Hardware site and forums from your browser address bar by pressing "T + space"
* Side panel that shows related Tom's Hardware links when you visit another site
* Built-in hammer bot AI agent (chat with Tom's Hardware)
* One click access to: post a forum post, see the latest news, view the GPU hierarchy
* Optional notifications when content you're interested in is posted
* Optional notifications when a forum thread you're in has gotten a new post

What else would you like to see?

Is Firefox excluded?

I simply want that unanswered posts no longer lists quarantined posts.

Or at least offers the option to at least filter out quarantined posts.

True that from time to time I may have some reason to go back and check the quarantined posts - reasons vary.

However, I do not need to see all of those quarantined posts every time I open "Unanswered Posts".

Thank you.

Notifications!
Instead of receiving Mails, Just turn on that extension in the settings. Then you don't have to search your mailfolder or go to this actual site, to read them.

And News Feed alerts for chosen categories or keywords in certain categories. For example, If there is a headline with ryzen or Intel in the news section. Or a post with BIOS in the title in the Hardware section of the Forum.

Chrome and Firefox both have custom search engines. I have several dozen of them for numerous web sites. "T + space" would be trivial to implement using this built-in browser feature.

My TH user preferences already do everything I want or need in respect of notifications. I don't understand what else could be added.

For the latest news, I prefer RSS feeds:

https://tomshardware.com/feeds/all

I would like to see a separate RSS feed for each forum.

This is the storage feed:

https://forums.tomshardware.com/forums/storage.8/index.rss

I would prefer if the bottom banner, that wants me to enable push notifications, worked the same way as other banners on this site does. When clicking the X to remove it, it gets removed, forever.
The bottom banner doesn't. It does however offer the option to "never ask again". Then, when I come back, it asks the same again. A real annoyance. To me never really means never.
